MISSION
STATEMENT
The GYEM
Foundation (Global Youth Education & Media, pronounced GEM) mandate is to educate global youth in their own cultures toward
world peace and the end of terrorism. We believe ten year olds proud of their deep histories and seeing a bright future equal
to all other peoples of the world will reject death and destruction. We believe that terrorism
can be eradicated by ‘edutainment’ and ‘infotainment’ of 10 year olds worldwide.
GLOBAL
OUTREACH
World peace
through the education of youth globally involves outreach to millions of young people. Though they have diverse needs, many
are poor, lack food, clothing, shelter and also unbiased information about their own cultures and the cultures around them.
Extremists use children to strap to explosives because they provide food and biased information with the help of government
censorship about their own and perceived enemy cultures.
Even where
children have their basic needs satisfied, the same propaganda-driven hate culture will occur simply from a lack of information.
To a greater or lesser degree we must first satisfy childrens’ need for food, clothing and shelter and then provide
a sense of purpose, self-respect, and appreciation of their own cultures outside the extremist cult. Educating youth toward
loving their own native cultures is the primary focus of GYEM global outreach. From that security in family, tribe, history
and their own culture, they will then be able to reach out as equals to every other culture in the world with no inferiority,
no hatred, no terrorism.
EXCHANGE
PROGRAM
The GYEM
Foundation Exchange Program brings Westerners to Third World and vice versa, and brings mentorship to countries that need
it, even developed countries. Like a private government partnership between philanthropy, and the private sector, and like
the Peace Corps or the New Peace Corps -- to be revived by whichever Democratic President comes in -- is our groundbreaking
initiative whose focus would be to stop terrorism cold by education around the world.
